Your duties
- Research-based teaching in English language and culture classes at BA level as well as translation and/or interpreting at BA and MA levels
- Participation in related administrative tasks and examinations
- Coordination and administrative responsibilities in the English subject area
- Contribution to research activities at the Department of Translation Studies
Your Profile
- A PhD degree in Translation Studies or a related field
- Excellent English and German language skills and cultural competence, with native-speaker level in at least one of the two languages
- At least three years' experience in teaching at university level
- Excellent didactic qualifications and willingness to apply innovative teaching formats
- Professional experience as a translator and/or interpreter (desirable)
- Willingness to engage in further training and to integrate (translation) technologies into teaching
- Research experience and publications (desirable)
- Ability to work in a team and motivate others
