Based on an empirical study, this book identifies areas in which targeted pedagogical approaches can make a difference to learner progress when engaging with the significant challenge of translating cultural items. It provides concrete pedagogical suggestions for an under-researched area in translator education and introduces new psychological concepts to inform and enhance translation pedagogy.
