Conference Policy
By submitting a proposal for and participating in the 8th IATIS International Conference (2025), you accept the following policies:
Online registration
Submitting the online registration form for the IATIS8 Conference constitutes a preliminary booking and signifies the registrant's full acceptance of all terms and conditions outlined herein.
Registration is not considered final until the organizing committee confirms the acceptance of the submitted abstract. Following such confirmation, full payment of the applicable registration fee must be made. Only online payment methods are accepted.
Policy on social media
By registering for the 8th IATIS Conference 2025 you consent to:
Authorize Sultan Qaboos University (SQU) and IATIS to mention your name and information about your presentation on social media and websites to advertise and report on the conference for the benefit of the broader academic community.
Legal basis: your consent.
Submissions policy: one submission per author only
In order to give equal opportunities and enjoy as the presentations of as many speakers as possible, each delegate may submit only one proposal as main author. Only panel and workshop organizers are allowed to submit a separate abstract if they wish to present a paper or a poster.

Language Policy
All abstracts/proposals must be submitted in English for peer-review by the Advisory Board but speakers will be given the choice to present in English or Arabic. The possibility of providing interpreting will be assessed according to available resources and is not guaranteed.
Payment and non-refundable registration policy
The registration fee grants participants the right to attend the conference and access the privileges and benefits listed on the official conference website. Please note that the registration fee does not cover travel expenses, accommodation, or visa-related costs. All such expenses are the sole responsibility of the participant.
There will be no refund of fees in case of cancellations. Participants are strongly advised to take out an insurance policy to cover travel and registration costs in case they have to cancel participation in the conference.
Refunds for cancellation owing to denial of visa will be considered on a case-by-case basis, subject to the submission of appropriate documentary evidence, and must be made in writing by 31 Jan 2026. No refund applications will be considered after this date. Refunds will exclude any administration fee and all bank charges incurred. Requests to cancel participation must be submitted in writing to the conference organizing committee via email.

Privacy Policy
All personal data provided during the registration process will be securely stored and used exclusively for purposes related to the IATIS8 Conference. By completing the online registration, participants and related parties agree to allow the organizing committee to use the provided contact information—including email, telephone, and fax—to communicate details relevant to the current conference.
Delivery of Services
Upon successful registration and payment, participants will be granted access to the conference and all associated benefits as outlined on the official conference website. The organizing committee reserves the right to make changes to the conference program, format, or delivery method, and will notify participants accordingly in a timely manner.
