IATIS is establishing three book prizes to recognise outstanding scholarship and contribution to the field. Awarded triennially, they will be presented for the first time at the Awards Ceremony during IATIS9, University of Canterbury, Christchurch, New Zealand.

Each prize is named in honour of a scholar whose work has profoundly shaped translation, interpreting and intercultural studies. As this is the inaugural cycle, these awards will set the standard for every triennium that follows.
