Job Description:
Active participation in research, teaching and administration:
- We expect the successful candidate to sign a doctoral thesis agreement within 12-18 months
- Involvement in project applications and the acquisition of third-party funding
- Involvement in the organisation of conferences, in research projects, and the preparation of publications and presentations
- Involvement in teaching and independent teaching as defined by the collective bargaining agreement
- Involvement in the supervision of students
- Involvement in administrative tasks
Profile:
Minimum job requirements:
- Diploma/master’s degree in Translation Studies
- Research interest in Community Interpreting
- Knowledge of theories and methods of Translation Studies, with a focus on Interpreting Studies
- Excellent command of written and spoken German
- Excellent command of written and spoken English
- Excellent command of another language offered at the Centre for Translation Studies
- Very good IT user skills
- Teamwork skills
