Call for Applications for Full-time Position (Interpreting/Translation) - Kobe College, Hyogo, Japan

Kobe College, Hyogo, Japan, is one of the pioneering institutions in the field of interpreting/translation education in Japan. Its English Department invites applications for a full-time position in English/Japanese interpreting/translation (Non-Japanese citizens will be tenure-track for two years).

Possible course responsibilities are: a. interpreting/translation theory and skills training (undergraduate and graduate), b. lecture, practicum, and seminar in communication theory and communication in English, c. courses on writing and other general English skills. M.A. is required, Ph.D. preferred. We are looking for an individual with interpreting/translation work and teaching experience, preferably with academic knowledge in the field other than interpreting/translation theory.
