Expertise required: The Department of English Studies, University of Cyprus, announces one (1) position at the rank of Lecturer/Assistant Professor in the area of Literary Translation (including theatre) . Eligible candidates are required to be fluent both in English and Greek. Knowledge of additional languages would be an asset. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the development of the Department's new section Translation Studies by teaching practical translation courses as well as theoretical courses in Literary Translation in relation to Intercultural Studies. According to the Law of the University of Cyprus, all candidates must have successfully completed their PhD-Degree by the date of application.

We are seeking candidates who specialise in intercultural communication and/or translation studies and have relevant research-led teaching experience in issues relating to cross-cultural communication and transfer. Teaching at all levels, as appropriate, and administration within the School are expected.
