Expertise required:
The successful candidate will be an established academic with a higher degree in translation, or a higher degree in Modern Languages with a translation qualification. He or she will have a research record in the field, professional experience of translation, the experience and ability to conduct pioneering research in translation theory and practice and substantial teaching experience, ideally at postgraduate level. He or she will further develop the Centre's links with business and the professions, and will engage in industry consultation to ensure that the programme provides linguists with the evolving skills and professional awareness required by employer industries. Computer literacy is essential, and an interest in or experience of Virtual Learning Environments highly desirable.
