Expertise required:
The School of Modern Languages seeks an experienced translator with HE experience to coordinate its expanded Diploma/Masters programme in Translation. You will have experience of e-learning systems and deliver this programme in a virtual learning environment. You will offer units in the theory and practice of translation, provide students with practical experience and training in translation of a variety of text types in one or more languages, and coordinate and supervise the work of tutors responsible for translation units in other languages. This half-time post is offered on a fixed term contract until 31 December 2009 in the first instance, with the possibility of extension. You should be able to start work on 1 September 2008 or as soon as possible thereafter.
